Honda’s desirability as a brand with a sporting streak took a plunge long ago with their increasing focus on building appliances. But back in their heyday, the entire line-up consisted of cars that were breaking conventions in some way or the other. Take a look back at some of Honda’s most iconic models spanning almost half a century, with everything from the Civic and CRX to the S2000 and NSX, in this video tour of a “secret” American Honda Museum in California. Carmakers share so many standardised parts due to having common parts suppliers nowadays that if one of these bits turn out to be faulty, several unrelated car brands are affected. Such is the case with the latest mass recall of 3.4 million vehicles produced by four unrelated Japanese carmakers between 2000 and 2004 for faulty airbags produced by parts-supplier Takata Corp. Information is also emerging that General Motors and BMW may also be affected.
After few exterior images made its way out in the press, the 2013 Honda Civic was revealed officially at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The Japanese automaker will be hoping the new exterior and interior changes of the new Civic will bring them more success after the recent criticism of the previous shape.
Honda have revealed exterior images of the facelifted 2013 Civic, set to make its full debut at the LA Auto Show later this month. Minor differences have been made all around, but overall gives an improved new look.
As seems to be customary nowadays, Honda has released their own “spy shots” of the 2012 Honda Civic Euro hatchback in prototype form.
